Working at the forefront of electrification technology, Volvo brings you the best of both worlds with Volvo Plug-in Hybrid models. Combining a powerful electric motor with up-to-date internal combustion engine technology, Volvo Hybrid models produce a highly efficient, performance-enhanced driving experience with reduced tailpipe emissions. Thanks to the Volvo twin engine concept, you also get exceptional range. The Volvo Plug-in Hybrid range includes the Volvo XC60 Hybrid, the Volvo V90 Hybrid and the Volvo XC90 T8. Come and see all these Volvo Hybrids and take a test drive, so you can experience the unique capabilities of these groundbreaking vehicles.
Whether you’re looking for exceptional performance or zero emissions, Volvo brings you a new kind of estate car with the Volvo V90 Hybrid. Designed from the very beginning to benefit from plug-in hybrid technology, the battery has been positioned on the centre line of the car and the electric motor has been mounted over the rear axle. The result is remarkably agile handling, thanks to the almost perfect weight distribution. And, since the battery isn’t cluttering up the luggage compartment, you still get generous room for all your stuff.
The T8 twin engine, all-wheel drive Volvo V90 Hybrid. Easy to say, but absolutely amazing to drive. The four-cylinder petrol engine, together with the electric motor, produces 407hp and 640Nm of torque. For city driving, when you want zero emissions and no engine sound, the V90 Hybrid will give you an all-electric range of 28 miles. Whilst you’re driving, the regenerative braking function will be busy recharging your battery, but you can also top up your V90 Hybrid’s battery from a mains socket to get a full charge in as little as three hours.
You can access your choice of four different driving modes with the easy-to-use, machined-alloy, roller switch: Hybrid mode gives you the best combination of the petrol engine and electric motor together; Pure mode means you’re using the electric motor on its own for silent, zero-emission driving; Power mode brings the all-wheel drive on line and gives you the full output of both the electric motor and the petrol engine; and the Individual mode allows you to set up your own preferences.
The Volvo V90 Hybrid is available in two trim levels: R-Design Pro and Inscription Pro. The Volvo S90 Hybrid brings your choice of zero emissions or the highest performance from the T8 twin engine concept to this elegant and powerful saloon. With an array of easy-to-use technology designed around making life easier for you, the long bonnet and low roofline of this superbly designed car will make an impression, wherever you travel. And every mile will bring you more enjoyment from the excellence of the craftsmanship and the engineering, as well as from Volvo’s attention to the smallest details. For example, you can use the Volvo On call app, not only to check on your battery’s current charge, but to schedule charging remotely.
Highlights of the Volvo V90 Hybrid include:
In addition, the R-Design Pro benefits from 19" 10 Spoke (Diamond Cut/Silver) alloy wheels with 255/40 tyres, whilst the Inscription Pro also has laminated side and rear windows.
The Volvo XC60 is a car without compromises, bringing together exceptional performance with clean efficiency. With 407hp in total from its four-cylinder supercharged and turbocharged petrol engine in combination with its electric motor, the Volvo XC60 Hybrid comes with an automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. Offering 134.5mpg, as well as a 0-62mph time of only 24.9 seconds and a top speed of 140mph, the XC60 Hybrid produces a mere 49g/km of CO2 emissions. What’s more, the XC60 Hybrid can tow up to 2,000kg.
The overall standard specification available with the Volvo XC60 Hybrid is exceptional, as is the wealth of equipment you can add as options. The list of active and passive safety systems runs to some 27 items and includes WHIPS whiplash prevention, Pilot Assist working with the adaptive cruise control for semi-autonomous driving, run-off road mitigation to prevent you accidentally driving off the edge of the road, and the driver alert control to help make sure you’re always awake at the wheel.
Sensus connect and navigation is your fully featured infotainment system, whilst voice control means you’re always alert to what’s happening on the road around you. The powered tailgate gives you access to the 468 litres of luggage space and, if you choose the air suspension, you can press a button and drop the rear by up to 5cm for ease of loading. Designed for comfort and highly adjustable to your individual preferences, the front seats can be heated to take off the chill on winter mornings, as is the steering wheel, whilst the heated windscreen means no more icy hands before you start your journey.
Standard features on the Volvo XC60 include:
With the Volvo XC90 Hybrid you get all the space, presence and practicality of a full-sized SUV, along with first-class comfort. But you get a lot more, because the XC90 Hybrid is powered by Volvo’s premium T8 twin engine, producing both outstanding performance and exceptional fuel efficiency. The Volvo XC90 T8 is available in Momentum, R-Design and Inscription trim levels.
In Hybrid mode, the XC90 glides along, using both the 2.0l Drive-E petrol engine and the electric motor, whilst maintaining the best possible balance between your SUV’s performance and its fuel efficiency. Switch into Power mode and your SUV tunes itself up for sporty performance, as it makes full use of both the engine and the electric motor, as well as the all-wheel drive. For when the going gets really tough at speeds of up to 25mph, just switch into Off Road mode and the electronically controlled limited slip differential comes on stream too. Alternatively, choose the Pure mode and your XC90 Hybrid will be an almost completely silent city car with zero emissions to worry about, although it can still achieve speeds of up to 78mph.
Highlights of the Volvo XC90 T8 include:
